Restaurant badly damaged in fire

Firefighters have spent the night tackling a blaze at a chinese restaurant in Berkshire.

About 25 firefighters attended the blaze at the four-storey Hong Kong restaurant in West Street, Reading, which was described as "well alight".

They were called at 0105 BST on Thursday and were still on the scene at 0800 BST after managing to bring the fire under control.

There were no reports of any injuries and the cause is being investigated.
