A parking attendant has been stabbed in the arm in a row over a ticket he was issuing at a car park in Berkshire.

The 39-year-old was injured as he was writing a ticket in Chester Street, Caversham, at 2015 BST on Saturday.

The driver of the vehicle became abusive before stabbing the traffic warden in the arm with a penknife - causing a small cut - then driving off.

Det Con Alice Broad, of Thames Valley Police, said: "Fortunately the victim's injuries were not serious."

Any witnesses have been urged to contact police.
