Woman killed on railway crossing

A woman died when she was hit by a train on a level crossing in Berkshire.

British Transport Police said the incident happened on the Waterloo Road crossing in Wokingham shortly before 0700 BST.

Surrounding roads were closed while emergency services were at the scene, but have all since re-opened.

Some train services in and out of the town were cancelled and there were long delays. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
