Shooting suspect flees his trial
Jason McInerney
A massive search is under way for Jason McInerney
A man on trial for attempted murder has escaped from Reading Crown Court, sparking a massive police hunt.

Jason McInerney, 20, is accused of shooting the groom at a wedding in Slough, Berkshire, in 2006.

Mr McInerney was appearing at the court when he and two other suspects escaped from the dock just before 1100 GMT. The other two were detained by police.

One officer suffered facial injuries in the incident and is being treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Extensive searches are taking place across Reading, while neighbouring forces have been informed.

Members of the public are being asked by police not to approach Mr McInerney.
