Afghanistan troops welcome parade
Hundreds of soldiers currently serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan are to be honoured with a parade and civic reception in a Berkshire borough.

The decision to pay tribute to those on active duty from Windsor's two regiments was made by councillors.

Household Cavalry troops at Combermere Barracks and the 1st battalion the Coldstream Guards, based at Victoria Barracks, are in Afghanistan.

The Royal Borough and Windsor and Maidenhead event is due next Spring.
