Festival yields tonnes of rubbish
Sixteen tonnes of rubbish were collected after tens of thousands of people descended on Berkshire for this year's Reading Festival.

Counterfeit and illegal goods were also seized before and after the event, as a result of the council working with organisers, Festival Republic.

A task force of council staff spent more than 600 hours collecting crisp packets, takeaway boxes and drink cans.

They collected 5,000 bags of rubbish at the site at Rivermead.
