A ten-day public inquiry begins on Tuesday into a multi-million pound redevelopment of a Berkshire town.
The planned £150m redevelopment of the Park Way area of Newbury is set to take place next Spring.
But first the inquiry will consider whether traders have been paid enough compensation for their shops to be demolished to make way for the scheme.
The regeneration project will see shops, including a department store, and scores of new homes, built.
