New adult learning centre to open
An adult learning centre will be opened in a Berkshire town.

The refurbished Britwell MyCouncil site in Wentworth Avenue, Slough, will include the new learning centre.

It is funded by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and the Berkshire Neighbourhood Learning Partnership.

From 8 May the facility will offer training, information and the opportunity for residents in the area to gain new qualifications.

Philip Wright, head of lifelong learning at Slough Borough Council, said: "It is important to the council that our residents share in the town's wealth and access training opportunities to enhance their skills to go on and get good jobs in the borough."
