Cash boost for 2012 rowing events
Rowing events happening in Berkshire during the 2012 Olympics have received a major financial boost.

Phone company Siemens has announced a sponsorship deal worth more than 3.2m, which will train rowers in the run-up to the games at Dorney Lake, Eton.

The deal with the GB Rowing Team will also identify potential medal-winning rowers for the future.

The world-class facilities at the Eton College rowing centre will host the rowing and canoe competitions in 2012.

The rowing world championships will also take place there next month.
