Pupils' car crash reconstruction
Sixth form pupils will be warned about dangerous driving with a special car crash reconstruction.

West Berkshire Council's road safety team has joined forces with fire and ambulance services to reconstruct a car crash in Bradfield College's grounds.

The event, on 2 May, is aimed at illustrating to students the impact of a road traffic accident and how the emergency services react to it.

Research shows drivers aged 17-25 are most at risk on the road.

A local authority spokesman said: "Figures also show that over 1,000 young lives in this age group are lost every year in road crashes.

"Young drivers are more likely to crash when carrying passengers of their own age group and a high percentage of casualties are young female passengers."

After the reconstruction the students are expected to attend attend road safety workshops.
