Hard drives were seized from Saleem Cheema's internet cafe
Police have seized computer equipment during a search at an internet cafe following the suspected plot to blow up US-bound flights.

Thames Valley Police removed equipment from the Asian Spice internet cafe, in Reading, on Thursday afternoon.

A force spokesman said the searches were connected to the Metropolitan Police's anti-terrorist operation.

Cafe owner Saleem Cheema said: "They took the hard drives."

Saleem, who keeps a record of the people using his cafe by their clothes and the time they spend on-line, said six hard drives and data CDs were taken.

Two further search warrants were carried out at internet cafes in Slough.

No arrests were made during the operation.
