An investigation is under way into the death of James Clarke
An 18-year-old soldier whose body was discovered at an army training college in Berkshire died from gunshot wounds, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Trainee electrical engineer, James Clarke, was found in the grounds at Arborfield Garrison, near Finchampstead, on Friday night.

Police said no third parties were being sought but would not say whether Mr Clarke's death was suspicious or not.

He was serving with The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

A police spokesman said: "We are keeping a very open mind as to the circumstances surrounding the death and we cannot say if it is suspicious or not suspicious until our investigation is concluded."

A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: "The investigation is a matter for Thames Valley Police and we have no comment to give except to say that we our thoughts are with the family."
