Divorce service to avoid courts
A new divorce service to help families resolve break-ups without having to go to court has been launched.

Solicitors in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire are taking part in the collaborative law initiative.

Lawyers will work with couples to reach mutual agreements, but will not be able to act on their behalf in court.

Resolution, that runs the service, says it offers an incentive to avoid court proceedings and could help reduce the emotional trauma of a family split.
