Hikers go for walk with wolves
Wolf walk
The wolves were kept on the lead during the walk
A group of walkers were treated to an unusual outing when they were taken for a trek in the woods with some wolves.

About 30 people took part in the 4km (2.5-mile) walk outside Theale, near Reading, Berkshire, on Sunday.

They were joined by two wolves and their handlers from the Wolf Conservation Trust in Beenham.

The event had been organised by West Berkshire Council as part of its "Walking the way to health" scheme.

Mary Spanswick, from the council's arts and leisure development team, said: "It just went crazy. People were ringing from Lancashire wanting to take part.

"We all waited in anticipation as the wolves came out of the trailer to meet us. After that we all relaxed and had great fun walking with the wolves mingling with us."
