Two dead in vintage plane crash

The couple's plane came down in a field in rural Berkshire on Thursday
Two people seriously hurt when their vintage plane crashed in a field have died, police have confirmed.

Their Tiger Moth came down on the Oxfordshire/ Berkshire border at noon on Thursday in the village of Remenham, near Henley-on-Thames, officers said.

Thames Valley Police said no-one on the ground was injured in the crash.

The male pilot, aged in his 60s, and a female passenger in her 20s, died on Thursday afternoon in hospital. They have not yet been formally identified.

The aircraft was believed to have come from the nearby White Waltham airfield.

The investigation into the crash will be led by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.
