Commuters could face extra delays on their journeys as work on widening the M25 get under way.
The work between junctions 12 and 14 -which will mean a change in layout of the road - will begin on Thursday.
The Highways Agency says the current phase of construction on the southbound carriageway, between the M3 and M4 interchanges, is almost complete.
Preparations for the new road layout will take place overnight between Monday and Wednesday.
