Staff at a school are celebrating after it was rated among the best in the country at encouraging gifted pupils.
The John O'Gaunt Secondary School in Hungerford, Berkshire, set an example for other schools to follow in four key areas, the recent Ofsted report said.
They awarded it four 'Cameos', which recognise outstanding practice for other schools to emulate.
Chairman of governors, John Adey, said the report was a tribute to the efforts of staff, pupils and parents.
Head teacher, Lin Bartlett, said she was delighted with the report.
"I am particularly pleased the inspectors have recognised the high quality of teaching and learning in the school and how students' levels of achievement have been raised".
The gifted pupils co-ordinator, Lynette Manser, said: "We are extremely pleased that the effectiveness of our provision for gifted and talented students has been recognised by Ofsted as an example of 'outstanding practice'."
The school teaches around 570 pupils aged from 11 to 18.
