Two hunted over rape of woman, 20
"Bhutto" (l) and Golam Mohammed Ali Chowdhury left Newbury - police
Two men are being hunted in connection with the rape of a 20-year-old woman in a flat above a restaurant.

One of the men, Golam Mohammed Ali Chowdhury, 31, was arrested after the attack in Newbury, Berkshire, in November but failed to answer bail.

A second man, known only as "Bhutto", also vanished after the assault.

Thames Valley Police say both men have left Newbury and could be working in restaurants in south London. Bhutto has connections with Portsmouth.

Police appeal

Mr Chowdhury is described by police as Bangladeshi, 5 ft 7 in and of medium build.

Bhutto is said to be in his late 20s or 30s, 5 ft 7 in and a Bangladeshi speaker.

He is believed to be in the London area or possibly in Portsmouth.

Detective Constable Rob Tomblin, of Newbury CID, said: "I urge anyone with even the slightest suspicion that they know where either man is to get in touch.

"It is important for Mr Chowdhury to answer bail and for us to speak to Bhutto as he could have vital information about this very serious incident."
