Appeal to preserve Milton Keynes chapel wall paintings

A £50,000 appeal has been launched to save unique wall paintings in a medieval chapel in Milton Keynes.

The Chapel of St Mary, a stone's throw from the rail line, was little more than a cow shed when is was spotted by a passenger on a passing train in the 1950s.

The paintings were only revealed when a leak washed away the whitewash painted on to obscure them.
