Cyclist dies in Leighton Buzzard hit-and-run crash

A cyclist has been killed in a hit-and-run crash in Bedfordshire.

The male cyclist was hit by a car, possibly a Ford Mondeo, which failed to stop at the junction of Lake Street and Leston Road in Leighton Buzzard.

The man was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital after the incident late on Sunday evening, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are appealing "urgently" for anyone with any information about the crash to get in touch.
