Attack victim pushed into bushes

A teenager was sexually assaulted by a man who forced her into bushes off a busy street in Bedfordshire.

Police said the 18-year-old was attacked as she walked along Northampton Road in Bromham, near Bedford, on Thursday evening.

A man pushed her into bushes in a cut-though area opposite Trevor Drive. He then ran away towards Peacock Road.

He is described as aged 18 to 20, 6ft (1.82m) and was wearing black jogging bottoms, gloves and a balaclava.

Anyone with information on the attack at 1830 GMT is urged to contact Bedfordshire Police.
