A 39-year-old man who raped a 17-year-old girl in Milton Keynes is to be sentenced next month. The conviction of Omar Omar, of Conniburrow Boulevard, Milton Keynes, relates to a rape at a house in Towan Avenue, Fishermead. Abdi Sheikh, 45, of Herrick Road, Birmingham, was found not guilty of three charges of rape at Huntington Crown Court. Omar was remanded in custody to be sentenced on 18 December. Det Con Paul Summerville said: "We are pleased that the jury found Omar guilty of this offence. He is a dangerous individual. "Because of the nature of this offender we believe he could have committed similar offences in the past but the victims might have been too scared to come forward and report it to police. "I would ask anyone who believes they have been a victim of this man to contact us."
