Arrest in police pursuit inquiry

A woman has been arrested after a pedestrian was struck by a van during a police pursuit in Buckinghamshire.

The man, aged in his 50s, remains in a serious condition following the collision in Oxford Road, High Wycombe, on Wednesday.

The van failed to stop and was later found abandoned. The woman, aged in her 20s, has been released on bail.

The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
