CCTV to catch pavement cyclists

CCTV will be used to catch young people who illegally cycle on pavements in Hertford, police said.

Police pledged to catch offenders following "numerous" complaints from members of the public.

A police spokeswoman said officers would also be patrolling the town and working with schools.

Pc Helen Grout said: "We would ask that young people who are riding their bikes to school and outside of school are considerate to others around them.

"Those who are riding their bikes without consideration for others will be dealt with accordingly."
