Man admits fatal street stabbing

A man has admitted the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old in a street in Bedfordshire.

Milton Downer, 52, of Richbell Court, Bedford, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Boris Reavey on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Mr Reavey, from The Avenue in Bedford, was stabbed in the chest in Alexandra Road on 15 November last year.

After entering the plea at Luton Crown Court, Downer was remanded in custody until sentencing on a date to be fixed.

Mr Reavey staggered 50 yards to a nearby private members' club for help after he was stabbed.

Door staff from The Studio Club tried to help him but he died soon after.
