Woman admits man's fatal stabbing

A woman has admitted killing a 20-year-old man who was stabbed in Hertfordshire last year.

Nineteen-year-old Tammy Cassar pleaded not guilty to the murder of Ryan Walsh at St Albans Crown Court.

Prosecutor Ann Evans said Cassar had been seen by a defence psychiatrist and had pleaded guilty on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Mr Walsh died in hospital after being stabbed at Grove House in College Road, Cheshunt, in September.

Cassar was remanded in custody until the sentencing hearing. No date was fixed.
