Firefighters deal with oil fumes

Firefighters wearing protective clothing have been dealing with oil drums venting fumes in Bedfordshire.

Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service were called to Camford Way, in Luton, late on Monday night.

A spokesman said firefighters found the drums giving off fumes and called for more engines and a specialist in hazardous materials to attend.

He said crews in protective clothing dealt with the oil drums and later had to be decontaminated.
