School shuts over swine flu cases

A special school in Buckinghamshire has closed after two pupils tested positive for swine flu.

Pebble Brook School in Aylesbury closed on Wednesday and will remain shut for seven days, following advice from the Health Protection Agency.

Two schools in Hertfordshire have also been shut after pupils were confirmed as having swine flu.

The schools concerned are Central Primary School, Watford, and The Queens School, in Bushey.

Central Primary School will be shut until 6 July after one pupil tested positive.

Several pupils and staff at The Queens School have also been confirmed as having the virus.

All parents at Pebble Brook School have been asked to keep their children at home and staff and students are being offered anti-viral medication.

The residential school takes 11 to 16-year-olds from across the county.
