Fatal house fire not suspicious

A fire at a house in Bedfordshire in which a four-year-old girl died started in a fridge freezer unit.

Two other children and an adult were injured in the blaze in Barleycorn Close, Leighton Buzzard, on 21 May.

Bedfordshire and Luton fire service and police investigated the incident along with forensic science experts and determined it was not suspicious.

Recent re-wiring work carried out at the property was not found to be at fault, the fire service said.
