Man remanded over car park rape

A man has been charged with the rape of a woman in a health club car park in Buckinghamshire.

The victim reported being attacked in the car park of Cannons Health and Fitness, Trenchard Street, Aylesbury, early on 8 February.

Abid Mehmood, 27, from Elmhurst Road, Aylesbury, was arrested on 12 March and later appeared before the town's magistrates' court charged with rape.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 26 March.
