Clubhouse fire
A fire investigation is under way.

A golf club building in Bedfordshire has been severely damaged by fire.

Befordshire and Luton Fire Service was called to Pavenham Park Golf Club near Bedford after the fire broke out in the clubhouse at about 1715 GMT on Monday.

More than 40 firefighters were needed to bring the fire under control. No one is thought to have been injured.

A fire service spokeswoman said it was thought about 80% of the building had been badly damaged. Crews from Northamptonshire helped fight the fire.
