Man is remanded on murder charge

A 23-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with murdering a teenager in Bedfordshire.

Taylor Burrows, 18, of Enderby Road, Luton, died from stab wounds on Saturday at a house in the road where she lived.

Karl Oakley, of Thames Court, Trent Road, Luton, appeared before Luton Magistrates' Court charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody and will next appear before Luton Crown Court on 10 March.

Det Ch Insp Mick Hanlon, of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire major crime unit, said: "I would ask anyone who may have information relating to the circumstances surrounding Taylor's death to contact the police."
