Motorcyclist dies in lorry crash

A motorcyclist has died in a collision with a lorry in Bedfordshire.

The accident happened on the A421 Bedford Road between Brogborough and the Beancroft roundabout in Marston Moretaine at 0630 GMT.

Bedfordshire Police said the man was taken to Bedford Hospital South Wing but later died.

The A421 was closed in both directions after the accident while police started an investigation. A police spokeswoman said the road had since reopened.
