Girl injured as car fails to stop

A 12-year-old girl suffered leg and arm injuries when she was struck by a car which failed to stop.

The accident happened on on Chapel Lane, High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, when a silver Mazda convertible hit the girl.

The road was closed for more than three hours for investigation work.

A 37-year-old woman was arrested later on Friday evening on suspicion of drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
