Woman robbed of bag at knifepoint

A robber threatened a 28-year-old woman with a knife before running off with her bag, pursued by two people.

The attack happened on Monday in Belgrave Road, Aylesbury. A man asked the woman what time it was and then grabbed her handbag.

During a struggle the robber threatened the victim with a knife before running off, a police spokesman said.

He was followed by two men who managed to retrieve the bag, although an amount of cash had already been taken.

The robber is described as white, 6ft tall, thin with a slightly pointy nose and was wearing a black woolly hat, dark coloured tracksuit top and bottoms.

He was carrying a rucksack and spoke with a local accent.
