Driver charged over crash death

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a 19-year-old driver who was knocked over while walking along a road after his car broke down.

Daryl Bridge, of Jubilee Close, Henlow, Bedfordshire, was hit on Monday in Shillington Road, Lower Stondon.

He died from multiple injuries including severe head injuries.

Matthew Cannon, 20, of Mill Lane, Campton, in Shefford, has been charged with causing death while disqualified, police said.

He will appear before Luton Magistrates' Court.
