Stolen little pony is found safe

A Shetland pony which was stolen from stables in Hertfordshire last week has been recovered safe and well.

The nine-year-old pony, called Cotton Candy, and who stands just 32in tall (81cm), was stolen from stables in the Lower Luton Road in Wheathamsptead.

Hertfordshire Police said the pony was found by the owners through contacts they have in the equestrian community.

"The pony is well but rather traumatised," a police spokesperson said.
