Woman rescued from fire in flat

Fire at Turweston Manor
The fire caused 70% damage to the first and second floors

A woman has been rescued by firefighters after a blaze broke out in a flat in a manor house.

Fire crews were called to the three-storey property at Turweston Manor in Turweston near Brackley, Buckinghamshire, early in the morning.

Eight crews from the county and two from Northamptonshire and two from Oxfordshire attended the scene.

The fire, which caused 70% damage to the first and second floors, was later brought under control.
