Two teenagers who filmed themselves carrying out an attack on a 20-year-old man have been sentenced.
The pair, aged 15 and 16, used a mobile phone to film the attack in April this year, Luton Crown Court was told.
The 16-year-old from Houghton Regis was given three years detention for causing grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and the attempted robbery.
The other youth was given an 18-month detention and training order for causing grievous bodily harm.
The younger of the pair, who comes from Dunstable, was 14 at the time of the attack.
The court heard the pair kicked and punched the man and even stamped on his head during the vicious assault, which happened in Blows Downs on the edge of Dunstable in April.
They then stole his watch, his mobile phone and a ring.
Sentencing the pair, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, Judge Andrew Bright QC said: "It was an appalling and savage attack."
Branding the 16-year-old as the "main player" in the violence the judge told him: "I have no doubt you took delight in watching him suffer."
