Body of woman recovered from lake

The body of a woman has been found in a lake in Hertfordshire.

Police were called to North Met, near Cadmore Lane, Cheshunt, after a passer-by saw the body on Friday afternoon.

The death is being treated as unexplained and officers have appealed for help to identify the woman, who was black and aged in her 20s to early 30s.

She was wearing a dark t-shirt, denim jacket, jeans and white trainers. She was carrying an Oyster card but had no other identification with her.

Anyone who may know the woman or saw anyone matching her description near the lake on Friday is asked to contact Hertfordshire Police.
