Lodger denies murdering housemate

A 25-year-old man has denied murdering his housemate at a property in Luton where they both lived.

Christopher McCool is accused of murdering Amanullah Khan, 38, at the house in Hightown Road, between 11 June and 14 June.

Mr McCool denied the charge during a hearing at Luton Crown Court.

The defendant, of Hightown Road, Luton, was remanded in custody until his next court appearance. A trial date has been fixed for 12 February 2009.
