A water company has apologised to customers after a burst pipe cut supplies to 100 homes.
Part of Goldington Road in Bedford reopened on Saturday almost 24 hours after the water main burst.
A spokesperson for the county council said the road had been badly damaged and there will be a planned closure to allow permanent work to be done.
An Anglian Water spokesperson said the company was sorry for the inconvenience to customers in the area.
