Council turns down rave request

A music rave event planned for the bank holiday weekend in Bedfordshire and widely advertised on the internet has been cancelled by organisers.

Police are warning potential revellers that the event has been refused permission by the local council.

The two-day rave would have taken place in Steppingley from Sunday to Monday.

Mid Bedfordshire District Council has refused permission on safety grounds, lack of proper access and numbers would likely exceed permitted levels.
