Armed police raid nets two youths

Two youths have been arrested following a robbery in Luton when a 19-year-old man was assaulted with a gun and axe.

The attack and robbery happened in Olympic Close on Saturday evening.

The robbers threatened the man and stole medicine and a gold necklace. The victim suffered an injury to his hand but did not seek hospital treatment.

Armed police arrested the youths, aged 17 and 19, at addresses in Marsh Road and Alesia Road, Luton, and are being questioned at a police station.

No weapons were found at the addresses during a search.
