Renewed appeal over abducted man
John Finney's abandoned Mitsubishi Shogun
Forensic tests are being carried out on Mr Finney's vehicle
A photograph of a vehicle from which a traveller was abducted in Hertfordshire has been released by police.

John Finney's abandoned Mitsubishi Shogun was found in Park Farm, Northaw Road West in Northaw, last Friday.

Police say they are getting "increasingly concerned" for the safety of Mr Finney, 42, and have searched land where he was last seen.

Forensic tests are being carried out on Mr Finney's vehicle and the caravan where he was staying in Park Farm.

Mr Finney's disappearance was reported to police in the early hours of Saturday by his cousin.

His last movements were in the Park Farm area of Northaw Road West.

The investigation into John's disappearance is being led by Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire's Major Crime Unit.

Det Ch Insp Bill Jephson said: "At this time, I am very concerned about John's whereabouts and for his safety and would appeal to anyone who has any information about his disappearance to come forward.

"John's family are extremely worried about him and just want him to be returned safely."
