Murder charge after street attack

A 19-year-old is to appear before magistrates charged with murder after a man died from his injuries after he was attacked in a street.

Christopher Owen Jones, also 19, was found with serious injuries near the junction of Spring Drive and Broadwater Crescent in Stevenage on Friday night.

He was taken to The Lister Hospital where he died on Saturday, Hertfordshire Police said.

The charged man was due to appear at St Albans Magistrates' Court on Monday.
