Police investigating the murder of a man who died 11 days after being beaten with a spade in a burglary at his home are renewing an appeal for witnesses.

Mustapha Charkaui, 57, was hit over the head during a raid on his home in Aylesbury, Bucks, on 12 March.

Mr Charkaui died in hospital having never regained consciousness.

Thames Valley Police officers will be at the Alfred Rose community centre in Dunsham Lane with a mobile police trailer on Tuesday.

Det Sgt Mark Morton said: "The trailer presents an opportunity for members of the public to have easy access to the police. The team will also hand out flyers in the area.

Road policing officers were also carrying out a road check in Dunsham Lane on Monday stopping any cars and quizzing drivers.

A team of police officers was also handing out leaflets at different locations in Aylesbury town centre to appeal for information.
