The Conservatives remain in overall control of Aylesbury Vale after winning seven seats from both the independents and the Liberal Democrats.

The party strengthened their hold over the Buckinghamshire district by increasing their majority from 30 seats to 37 seats.

The Liberal Democrats now have 21 seats after losing four to the Conservatives.

And there is only one independent candidate remaining after Conservatives made four gains.
