Teacher denies sex with boy, 15

Jenine Saville-King denies the charges against her
A schoolboy's affair with an assistant teacher continued even after she became pregnant with her husband's baby, St Albans Crown Court has heard.

Jenine Saville-King, formerly of St Albans, Hertfordshire, but now living in Hampshire, began an affair with the boy in 2004 when he was 15.

The court was told they performed sex acts on each other in her home and had full sex when the boy turned 16.

Mrs Saville-King, 29 denies sexual activity with the boy when he was 15.

She also denies a charge of abuse of trust.

The prosecution said Mrs Saville-King, who now lives in Nursery Close, Hook, booked hotel rooms for her and the boy or took him home when her husband was in London.

'False allegations'

The relationship was said to have lasted until the summer of 2005, and three days before she gave birth, the couple were still having sex, the court was told.

Ann Evans, prosecuting, said that when the baby was a few days old, the pair posed for a photo on the boy's mobile phone, which he put on his computer as a screensaver.

A girl saw the picture and told a member of staff at the school.

The boy, now aged 18, told the court he had "strong feelings" for the teacher.

Cross examined by Sarah Foreshaw, he said he had posted a picture of himself with Mrs Saville-King on his MSN chat site.

He agreed it was done out of malice as a warning to her to stop contacting him.

School investigation

The two broke up after the boy told Mrs Saville-King he had met someone else, the court heard.

After her arrest, she told police the boy had harassed and intimidated her and made threats to her and her family.

She said: "I consider he has deliberately used the concern and support I have offered him and manipulated it into the false allegations I am now confronted with."

The court heard the school had conducted an investigation into the relationship, but reached the conclusion that although she had behaved unwisely, nothing sexual had occurred between them.

The trial continues.
