One of the largest Sikh temples in Britain is officially opening in Bedfordshire on Saturday.
The new Guru Nanak Gurdwara Building, on Ford End Road in Queens Park, Bedford, will become the centre of the Sikh community in the area.
On Saturday a ceremony will celebrate the completion of this landmark building and will involve taking the Sikh holy scriptures to the Gurdwara.
This will be followed by Arti (prayer) and Kirtan (hymn singing).
The project was started in 1999 and took five years to plan and three years to build.
